I want to ensure ALL voices are heard and ALL interest are represented in the decision-making process in Pontiac. Through transparency I will open up lines of communication between citizens, community leaders, and governing body so change really happens and solutions are realized. I will advocate to establish an at-large committee in every district in Pontiac 1-6.

GROWING PONTIAC WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT & ECONOMY

Establish programs and initiatives that focuses on building, enhancing and refining skills, and abilities to achieve economic success for individuals, businesses and communities in Pontiac. Workforce development will help the economy grow by creating jobs and attracting investments. I will advocate to establish the Pontiac Workforce Development Hub with apprenticeships for student and citizens.

Hello! I am Adrian Austin, and I am running for Pontiac City Council at- large. I have been a citizen of Pontiac for 40 years; All my life. My lineage has been a part of the fabric of Pontiac for over 70 years. I have a beautiful wife Melaine Austin also from Pontiac and two beautiful daughters Shaniya 21 and Alaura 1. We have purchased a home here in Pontiac in 2023, and I graduated from than Pontiac Northern High School class of 2003. I am 100% invested in Pontiac! This is my home.

I have been elected to my second term as Precinct Delegate of Precinct 11 in District 5 in the city of Pontiac, Michigan. I have been elected to my second term as UAW Chairperson for Local 2500 representing the brothers and sisters of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and I serve as the Chairman of the CAP (Citizenship & Legislation)

Committee of Local 2500. I served as a UAW Bargaining Representative for the 2023-2027 Master Labor Agreement negotiations with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. I have worked on assignment with the UAW International CAP (Citizenship & Legislation) & UAW Region 1 CAP Department for the 2024 Presidential Election. Elect the man with a plan to lead Pontiac forward with educated decisions, Rapid solutions and response to citizens and conducting myself with professionalism and respect at all times.

-Plans to uplift & engage our youth. I will advocate to establish a youth council ages 13-18.

-Plans to enhance our senior community. I will advocate to increase the home repair program and for affordable/accessible housing.

-Plans to address infrastructure issues. I will advocate to resolve ALL street/bridge issues. Increase maintenance on bridge and request assessment on which streets require reconstruction vs resurfacing to decrease spending & resolve work faster.
