Hello! I am Adrian Austin, and I am running for Pontiac City Council at- large. I have been a citizen of Pontiac for 40 years; All my life. My lineage has been a part of the fabric of Pontiac for over 70 years. I have a beautiful wife Melaine Austin also from Pontiac and two beautiful daughters Shaniya 21 and Alaura 1. We have purchased a home here in Pontiac in 2023, and I graduated from than Pontiac Northern High School class of 2003. I am 100% invested in Pontiac! This is my home.

My love for this city and desire to see Pontiac as a premier city in not only Oakland County but also the state of Michigan has fueled my decision to run for city council. I want to help restore the great memories citizens had of Pontiac, I remember growing up in a community of proud citizens of Pontiac and that memory is not lost. I am confident there are people that still believe in the greatness of Pontiac.

A little about my background, I have been elected to my second term as Precinct Delegate of Precinct 11 in District 5 in the city of Pontiac, Michigan. I have been elected to my second term as UAW Chairperson for Local 2500 representing the brothers and sisters of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and I serve as the Chairman of the CAP (Citizenship & Legislation)

Committee of Local 2500. I served as a UAW Bargaining Representative for the 2023-2027 Master Labor Agreement negotiations with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. I have worked on assignment with the UAW International CAP (Citizenship & Legislation) & UAW Region 1 CAP Department for the 2024 Presidential Election. I am asking for the opportunity to meet citizens and have conversations to answer any questions, discuss more ideas and ways to move Pontiac forward, and talk about gaining your support and endorsement towards my candidacy.
